Caramelized Onions

Ingredients

  • 1 stick or 120g of butter
  • 3 large onions

Directions

  1. Slice the onions vertically into thin strips.
  2. Melt the butter on a pan over medium heat.
  3. Toss in the onions and cook until they start shrinking. Once they do, lower the heat to low and cook until they are golden brown and fragrant.

Notes

  • You can replace the butter with 100ml of olive oil instead.
  • Caramelized onions can be stored in the fridge for roughly a week.
