Caramelized Onions
Ingredients
- 1 stick or 120g of butter
- 3 large onions
Directions
- Slice the onions vertically into thin strips.
- Melt the butter on a pan over medium heat.
- Toss in the onions and cook until they start shrinking. Once they do, lower the heat to low and cook until they are golden brown and fragrant.
Notes
- You can replace the butter with 100ml of olive oil instead.
- Caramelized onions can be stored in the fridge for roughly a week.
